16 games have been played in the Ovaltine Suva Business House Futsal Soccer League following the successful completion of two rounds so far.
“Those teams which have lost their respective games in the first round now have a chance to prove themselves as the third round of games is all set to kick-off at the National Hockey Centre at Laucala Bay tomorrow,” tournament organiser Alan Kumar of Bula Events Group said.
“The first batch of seven teams which lost their respective pools games in the first round will be working hard this week to turnaround their situation,” Mr Kumar added.
Looking back at the results from the first round, Ram Sami and Fiji Ports were the only teams which had a draw while the second round of games had eight winners from the respective pools.
“The teams which participated in the second round last week will be taking a break this week,” Mr Kumar said.
“With two rounds of games successfully completed, we can see teams like JR White, Pacific Customs, EFL, Gokals, Suva City Council, BSP and Evergreen International as emerging leaders from their respective pools.
“It was a goals galore last week as three teams in the likes of JR White, Suva City Council and Energy Fiji Limited scored five goals against their opponents.
“So far we have received some protests as well and the decision on those grievances will be made this week.”
With 32 teams registered this year, the 2019 Ovaltine Suva Business House Futsal League will carry on for the next 15 weeks and has set the platform for a great sports and business network in the capital city.
