With further forecast weather warnings of heavy rains, the Fiji Roads Authority is calling on all road users, to exercise caution while driving during the current weather conditions.
FRA Chief Executive Officer – Jonathan Moore says, they are urging the public to refrain from attempting to cross flooded roads, crossings and bridges.
Moore says motorists are advised to proceed with caution, as the rain has and will continue to inevitably result, in an increase in the number of potholes.
He adds motorists are urged to keep a safe ‘following’ distance – in order to prevent accidents on wet and slippery roads, and avoid stepping into or driving into flooded areas.
Members of the public can call the FRA on their toll free number – 5720, should they have any queries.
