The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians are yet to reach their top fitness level, with days out from the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Former players have expressed concerns over the fitness of the players – which they say was evident in the Pacific Nations Cup.
Flying Fijians Head Coach John McKee says, once the 31-man squad is announced for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, they will conduct some tests on fitness levels, as they still have time to get things in order, adding that players will be in a better condition, come the World Cup next month.
The Flying Fijians will hit the ground running from Monday, and will have three training sessions a day, before traveling to New Zealand to play Tonga, in their final build-up match.
The side will then return to have another training session, which most probably be based in Nadi, before heading to Japan.
The fans will get to watch and meet the Flying Fijians in a family day at Albert Park on Saturday, and of course, the Flying Fijians’-31 man squad for 2019 Rugby World Cup will be named in Suva tomorrow.
