Fiji’s non-resident High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore – Seleima Veisamasama – presented her credentials to the Singapore’s President – Halimah Yacob at the Istana this week.
The ceremony was attended senior government Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
High Commissioner Veisamasama – was accompanied by Counselor Mereseini Waibuta from the Fiji Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The High Commissioner – who was an educator by profession prior to her appointment – is an advocate of social issues and for the preservation of nature – including the local implementation of best practices that addresses climate change and the environment for Small Island Developing States like Fiji.
She also intends to further deepen the bilateral relations between Fiji and Singapore.
