The Motobhai Group in partnership with Fiji Cancer Society launched the thirteen edition of the Bushells Fiji’s Biggest Morning Tea today.
Motobhai Group of Companies Marketing Manager Abraham Gomes encouraged corporated bodies to get behind the initiative and play a role in cancer awareness and advocacy.
Gomes says the company will continue to support Fiji Cancer Society in years to come.
Over the past four years Bushells Fiji’s Biggest Morning Tea has collectively raised over hundred fifty thousand dollars from morning tea hosted by various corporate bodies.
Chairman of Fiji Cancer Society Makrava Wilson say substantial amount of these funds have allowed the society to provide patient psycho-social support.
“Along with patients support, we have been able to revive our survivor’s network who have been supportive with the the provision of “soft counseling” services to newly diagnosed patients and organising meet and greet activities for survivors and their families,” says Wilson.
This year the society is focusing more of Early Detection and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle.
