Fiji will be hosting its first-ever National Job Fair from the 24th-25th April, 2019 at the FMF National Gymnasium, Suva.
The main objective of this National Job Fair is to primarily create opportunities for all Fijians, in particular young people (between the ages 18-35years) so that they are informed of clear pathways from education to productive employment together with other opportunities that are available.
Speaking at press conference today, Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Deputy Secretary Mr. Viliame Baleidrokadroka said this National Job Fair promotes the hiring and career development of all individuals regardless of qualifications.
“It is direct human approach and we encourage everyone to attend the National Job Fair to take advantage of this opportunity,” Mr Baleidrokadroka said.
Over 30 organizations and education providers will be setting up booths to meet with prospective employees.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Employment, National Employment center and the Fiji Higher Education Commission.
