The late Permanent Secretary of Fisheries, Sanaila Naqali was laid to rest yesterday at the Vatuwaqa Cemetery.
In a fitting church service which was held at the National Gymnasium in Suva this morning, Minister for Fisheries, Semi Koroilavesau told the hundreds of people that were present that the ministry had lost a faithful servant.
“He will surely be missed by all his colleagues as well as representatives from regional organisations and governments that he had closely worked with.
Commander of the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces, Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto said that Naqali was always a hard worker and a quick learner and his sudden passing was indeed a shock.
“But all good things come to an end and I guess that he has played his part to his family and country to the best of his ability,” said Naupoto.
Naqali is survived by his wife and two children.
The Ministry of Fisheries also wish to thank everyone that contributed to the funeral of the late Mr Naqali.
