Non-resident Ambassadors and High Commissioners accredited to Fiji from Canberra and Wellington were hosted to welcome reception at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva this evening.

The non-resident Heads of Missions arrived in the country today for a first ever familiarisation visit.

Acting Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr Yogesh Karan, in welcoming them said, “The objective of the familiarisation visit is to enable non-resident Ambassadors and High Commissioners accredited to Fiji to have a deeper appreciation of Fiji, explore various opportunities for cooperation, and identify areas of mutual interest that would enhance bilateral relations”.

The familiarisation visit program, with the theme “Nurturing Global Partnerships for Sustainable Development,” will be held from Tuesday 20th to Thursday 22nd August 2019.
