Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Parveen Kumar launched the ministry’s operational plan for the 2019-2020 financial year yesterday.
Kumar says he will use this opportunity to “touch base’ with staff, some of who he has come to know through his interactions at the Ministry.
Members of the media were asked to leave after the official launch.
“The Costed OPS may be new but is premised on the existing commitment of the Ministry to retain ambitious targets throughout the 2019-2020 planning period to respond to urgent challenges and sustained demand for effective labour markets.”
In the Plan, the Ministry is committed to deliver on five Strategic Priorities which are leadership, effective financial management, service delivery, efficient internal business process and excellence in learning and development culture.
