Divisional heads have been reminded to maximize Police visibility.
Assistant Commissioner of Police and Chief Operations Officer Maretino Qiolevu says this is in line to ensure students, parents and teachers are able to begin another school year rest assured that operations such as school patrols before and after is maintained at all school zones.
ACP Qiolevu said our main focus for now is on the movement of people conducting back to school shopping and those returning from their holidays.
Divisional Police Commanders have been directed to ensure all necessary school related operations are ready for the start of the 2019 academic year.
ACP Qiolevu stresses to the parents and guardians, teachers and members of the public to work together in keeping children safe.
