56-year-old Timoci Lolohea’s murder trial continues before High Court Judge, Justice Salesi Temo.
The court heard that Lolohea, who is charged with one count of murder is alleged to have killed his 22-year-old defacto partner by stabbing her with two knives.
“I went back to the car and looked back to see if Elenoa was really dead than drove off.”
According to the fourth prosecution witness- Police Detective Constable Taitusi Lualala this was the statement Timoci Lolohea gave after he stabbed his defacto partner to death.
The court heard after he stabbed 22 year old Elenoa Divoci he drove home.
The interview which was read in court stated that Lolohea went back to his home in Baview Heights.
Lolohea told the police he went home to have his shower and wash the blood of his body.
He then went to Nadonumai before he surrendered himself at the Lami Police Station and told the officers what he had done.
When he was asked his reasons for killing his defacto partner he said It was in a fit of anger, jealousy and being let down by Elenoa.
The court also heard that during his caution interview he was told that witnesses had seen him walk back to a black bag after the stabbing he denied that there was a bag involved but stated he walked back to pick up his hat.
The court also heard the deceased was stabbed 12 times.
The alleged incident took place on the 20th March last year at Nasilivata Street in Nadera.
