The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) Senior Coaching Certificate course will be in the Northern division this week.
Technical director and course instructor Ravinesh Kumar said it is mandatory for every district to nominate three representatives for this course.
“It is for all the Northern senior district coaches where all the teams are invited to nominate three coaches from each district.
“It’s the responsibility of the districts to nominate their coaches and the technical department will then assess the coaches whether they are eligible for this course or not and the same will be done in the Southern division after BOG.
“So the same level of courses will be done in three divisions and the best will be identified to do the OFC C-license later this year.
Kumar said the pathway is clear for coaches.
“If they want to reach the B-license and A-license, they need to go through this process.
“From next year, the Champions League teams, for example, two teams qualify from Fiji and both the teams’ coaches need to have OFC C-license or above, otherwise they won’t be able to coach their team or sit in the technical area.
“So those coaches who do not have the OFC C-license by next year, they will not be eligible to coach a team.”
