The Chinese national currently facing corruption related charges in the Suva Magistrates Court had her second bail application refused.

Ling Gao was charged earlier this year by the Fiji Independent Commission
Against with one count each of Bribery and Possession of Forged Document.

Resident Magistrate Mr. Kashyapa Wickramasekara labeled the application for bail as a frivolous one and refused it in the interest of justice.

She is to be further remanded in custody pending trial for the above mentioned charges.

Twenty-eight days was given for Appeal.

Ling Gao is charged alongside two other individuals for allegedly offering $100.00 to an Exemption Officer at the Department of Immigration to alter the Work Permit on her Chinese passport in January of this year.
