The Chiefs midfielder Johnny Fa’auli has been banned for six weeks for his dangerous tackle on Hurricanes opposite Wes Goosen on Friday night.

Fa’auli was red carded for the high tackle which resulted in Goosen leaving the field for a head injury assesment.

The SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee accepted a guilty plea from Fa’auli.

He’s been suspended from all forms of the game for 6 weeks, up to and including Friday 31st August 2018.

The incident occurred in the 62nd minute of the match which the Chiefs held on to win.

The two sides meet again in the quarter-final in Wellington on Friday.
