Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) would like to advise members of the public that changes have been made to the route in Nadi’s Central Business District after safety audit at Koroivulo Avenue, Vunavau Street and Queens Road intersection.
The flow of traffic out of Koroivulo Avenue and Vunavau Street into Queens Road is now restricted to left turn only.
FRA says this action has been taken to mitigate chances of accident after observing the driver behavior at this intersection.
FRA has observed jointly with the Nadi Police Force that the drivers are not following the correct road rules and making accident prone maneuvers.
This action by the drivers jeopardise the safety of all road uses at this location and disrupts the flow of traffic into the town which ultimately increases the journey time for the public traveling to the CBD.
Motorist will need to use Nadi Temple roundabout to safely enter Vunavau Street from Koroivulo Avenue.
Traffic coming out of Vunavau Street will have to use Raniga Street to go to Sigatoka.
