Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama visited Natavea village in Naitasiri this week, urging parents to be more involved in their children’s education.
He says that government has shifted its focus on a more concentrated approach towards children’s education.
Bainimarama reminded the people of Natavea village that education of children should be at the forefront of every parents vision.
He says that he has been trying in the last few years to change the perception or views of Fijians towards education, especially when it concerns children.
Bainimarama says that making good career choices, is a result of the opportunities given to them
in life. He pleaded with the parents to encourage their children to continue pursuing their education.
Bainimarama says that government is doing all it can to support the education of our children through scholarships and programs.
