The Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama commissioned 48 new Public Rental Board housing units in Savusavu.

The project which was funded through a Government grant includes 32 one bedroom flats and 16 two bedroom flats.

And while delivering his keynote address, Hon. Prime Minister said this initiative would assist low income earners to have decent housing.

“This initiative is also aligned to Government’s commitment in the National Development Plan in particular the target of providing affordable and accessible housing to all Fijians,” Bainimarama said.

“We have taken a holistic approach through providing quality housing that is affordable for all levels of the society.”

This project was funded through a Government grant of $3.9 million dollars.
