Fiji Airways National 7s coach Gareth Baber is still to finalise his team to compete at the Rugby World Cup 7s next month.
Baber has 18 players in his squad and will trim it down to 16 by Tuesday before they depart to the United States.
Coach Gareth Baber hold the open training session yesterday with a scrimmage against Tabadamu 7s team.
Baber says he still has a lot of work to do after noticing loop holes which was exposed by Tabadamu.
He also adds Fiji 7s team needed this sort of game time before their departure.
Baber is confident things will fall into place and they pick up ahead of the tournament in San Francisco.
Missing from the scrimmage session were the three overseas based players Semi Radradra, Joshua Tuisova and Leone Nakarawa who are still on break and will join the team on Tuesday.
Baber currently have 18 players in the squad – he will only take 16 to San Francisco.
He says he will have to scratch his head while naming his 16.
With Samisoni Viriviri dropped from the squad – only two players remain from the last Rugby World Cup 7s in 2013 – Leone Nakarawa and Jasa Veremalua while rest will make their debut in a bid to win the Melrose Cup.
