Ba Police Station personals took time out yesterday (16th January, 2019) to visit Vaqia farming community.

As part of their team bonding exercise, officers from various Units at the Station visited members of the Vaqia Community to thank them and also to re-assure them of the organisation’s commitment in keeping them safe.

The team spend two solid hours on foot going through sugar fields and dusty roads to reach out to members of the Vaqia community.

Acting Officer in Charge of Ba Policing District (OCPD/Ba) Inspector of Police (IP) Samisoni Bai said after the hectic festive season operation, this was one of the ways to wind down and thank members of the community for their support.

“We will visit another community next week and repeat the same concept. We want to win the hearts of the communities and we will be going right to every doorstep to do that,” said IP Samisomi.

After the visitations, respective unit heads along with the officer in charge hosted Barbeque as appreciation to their officers for their commitment during the Festive season operation.

The Acting Head of Ba Police said while everyone enjoyed festivities during Christmas and New Year, his men spent sleepless nights and time away from their families in order to keep Ba Town safe for everyone.
