The Attorney-General Aiyaaz Sayed-khaiyum reported Fiji’s progress on several key Sustainable Development Goals through the first-ever Voluntary National Review during the annual High-level Political Forum at the United Nation in New York.
The VNR is a United Nations process for follow up to the adoption of development agendas.
It also provide an opportunity for countries to share their experiences in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
The Attorney-General shared about Fiji’s progress and also emphasized the need to strengthen ‘Partnerships for the Goals’. He said without partnerships from around the world to strike blended financing solutions and offer knowledge sharing, the UN’s ambitions will go unfulfilled.
Fiji’s full comprehensive VNR report will be published online in the next two weeks.
