Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum today officiated at the welcoming of the newest addition to the Fiji Airways fleet – the ‘Island of Vatulele’.

Joined by elders from the Island of the south-west coast of Viti Levu – famous for their red prawns, The AG said the latest addition to Fiji Airways was testimony of the progress made by Fiji Airways-Fiji’s National Carrier.

Sayed-Khaiyum also confirmed that the Singapore route is doing so well and the government no longer has to make a $18 million budget allocation as a marketing grant to Fiji Airways.

Fiji Airways will continue to get more brand new planes like 787s, Dreamliners or A350s in the next few years.
