The 17 Adi Cakobau School students were elated yesterday afternoon after their items that got burnt when their dormitory caught fire were replaced.
Thanks to the quick response by the Ministry of Education in replacing items including clothing, toiletries and beddings that were purchased from the Free Education Grant as advised by the Minister.
The ACS Principal, Arieta Yauvoli was accompanied by some school staff and representatives from Mokosoi House who were under the leadership of Q-Dorm where their House Captain and 16 other girls were accomodated in.
The 17 girls were also assisted with new suitcases, buckets, mattresses and everything they lost in the fire so to speak.
The Principal has thanked the Ministry for their assistance in providing for the girls’ and allowing them to live a normal boarding life.
Some Teachers, Senior House Members and Prefects assisted in distributing the stuff to the girls at the school yesterday afternoon.
