Current Fijiana 7s rep – Raijieli Daveua, is one of the 50 players, that have been named to be part of the ‘Fiji PEARLS’ trials tomorrow.
The Olympian was a former Pearls rep, and will feature in the trials along with – Vaiti Waqatabu, and has also represented the national womens 7s team.
Daveua has also been named in the Fijiana side, for the Sydney 7s next weekend.
Following the National Championships, thirty-nine triallists were selected to try out, for the Pearls Squad.
Players who did not participate at the 2018 National Championships – will also be able to attend the trials.
Overseas-based players and those players who are unable to trial due to injury or medical condition – will be eligible for the Pearls Squad selection.
The trials will take place in Suva at the FMF Gymnasium, from 8.30am to 3pm tomorrow.
The Pearls Squad for the 2019 World Cup, will be announced following the trials.
The Netball World Cup will be held in England – from the 12th to the 21st of July.
The Pearls are scheduled to play six test matches, before the World Cup.
