Fiji Swimming will be announcing on Saturday their team for the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific competition.
The team will be announced in Nadi during their Short Course Grand Prix 2 competition.
The national federation is hoping to field a total of 38 swimmers for the Pan Pacific meet which is scheduled to take place in a weeks’ time.
10 countries have been registered to compete over 4 days.
The registered countries are Fiji, USA, Canada, Japan, China, New Zealand, Australia, Ecuador, Singapore and South Korea.
More than 250 athletes will be battling it out in the water over the course of the competition in 35 events.
Fiji Swimming’s General Manager, David Dugu, said the preparation plans are on track and they believe the competition will see some of the world’s best junior swimmers taking part.
He also mentioned that the general public should not miss such an event especially being held in our very own home country.
Dugu encourages supporters around the country to come on down in numbers to support our very own Fiji Team as well as witness such an international event.
The 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Swimming competition will be held at the Damodar Aquatic Centre in Suva from the 22nd to the 26th of this month.
