While Fiji’s land mass of 18,270 square kilometers stays the same, the country’s population will continue to grow and sustaining our forests will be a challenge for future generations to come.

These were the words by the Ministry of Forestry’s Executive Director Forest Operations Services-Manasa Luvunakoro.

He was speaking during the Youth Empowerment and Seeds of Success Training conducted by the Ministry of Youth at Naboutini Village in Serua recently.

He says the youths of today will be the vessels of sustainable forest management in the future.

Participant -Pauliasi Matawalu says they will do what it takes to contribute because it will benefit them and those who are yet to come.

About 35 youths traveled from the various Provinces of Serua to take part in Government’s 4 Million Trees in 4 Years Initiative that was launched in January this year.
