Minister for Forests, Osea Naiqamu handed over a solar freezer to the youths of Tawava Village in Kadavu  last week.

Naiqamu urged the youths to use it well and to expand into avenues of running their own business.

“I am told that the youth group have been very vigilant in their activities both in farming and fishing for a living.”

The youths were also told to use the  assistance well and also take extra care when harvesting the resources from the sea as you need to do so in a sustainable manner.

This is the fourth solar freezer that has been handed out to communities in Fiji.

The solar freezer and it’s installation works cost around $13,000.00.
