A total of 55 youths are now empowered with information to help them make healthy lifestyle choices and skills.
This was all made possible after completing the five-day Empowerment training on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
While closing the training today, the Minister for Youth and Sports, Parveen Kumar Bala highlighted that the Government is committed in providing workshops and short courses to individuals.
“Youth Health and Wellbeing is one of the four Strategic Priorities for the Ministry of Youth and Sports,” Minister Bala said.
“To support the on-going development of young people, this empowerment training focused on empowering the youth participants with information to help them make healthy lifestyle choices and skills to be able to actively contribute to their communities and society,” he said.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports, in the financial year of 2020/2021, has conducted a total of five trainings on SRHR to which a total of 232 youths have benefitted and have been empowered as a result.
