You will face the full brunt of the law should you be found in possession or engage in any dealings of any illicit drugs.

This was the strong warning by the Commissioner of Police, Sitiveni Qiliho in a statement released in light of the recent discoveries of bars of cocaine on our shores.

The Fiji Police Force have put in place an amnesty period effective from yesterday till the 20th of this month to allow those who may have made similar discoveries to turn over the illicit drugs to Police.

Information has been received about persons trying to sell the illicit drugs.

Qiliho says that any person who without lawful authority acquires, supplies, possesses, manufactures, cultivates, uses or administers an illicit drug, will be prosecuted under the Illicit Drugs Control Act 2004.

Members of the public are requested to call on the toll free number 3318 529 if they have any information or may have made similar discoveries of cocaine.
