More than 40 Youths from across the Region are currently in Suva for the 6th Young Pacific Leaders Conference.

The event will provide Pacific leaders with new skills and knowledge to advance the region’s economic vibrancy and civic engagement.

They will address issues related to the programs theme on Education; Environment and Resource Management,Civic Leadership; and Economic and Social Development.

For Federated States of Micronesia representative-Yolanda Joab-its an exciting opportunity to network and address issues like climate change that is affecting her island home.

Fiji Representative-Krishneer Sen its an exciting opportunity to be given a platform to talk on issues for people like him living with disability on a daily basis.

Chief Guest-Assistant Minister for Youth-Alipate Nagata told the youths that to lead effectively, you must drive Change and serve your People.

At the conclusion of the conference, all participants will be eligible to compete for small grants to support Projects in their countries and the region.
