The Fiji Women’s Forum hosted a panel discussion with the theme ‘Where are the women now? Women in 50 years” commemorating Fiji’s 50th year of independence and the contribution made by women throughout.
The discussions included shared experiences, lived realities, health concerns, elections processes and challenges and the representation of women in leadership spaces amongst other issues.
The interactive panel is a culmination of a series of divisional dialogues on the empowerment of women in local and national level leadership.
FWF is includes co-conveners namely the Soqosoqo Vakamarama i-Taukei, Fiji Women’s Rights Movement and FemLINKPACIFIC and was formed in 2012 in order to bring together diverse women’s groups, towards the shared aim of increasing women’s participation in leadership.
