The United Blinds Person of Fiji – is ready to venture into their next pioneering event.
The ‘White Cane-A-Thon’ or the “White CAT” walk – is a fundraising walk from Suva to Nadi by blind persons, using their white canes with the assistance of volunteers.

UBP Chairperson – Rajnel Prasad says a team of 30 will camp along the Queens highway, and stopping at various venues.

He says it’s their way to create awareness, identify and register visually-impaired persons, and fundraise for member’s educational and self-empowerment needs.

The culmination of the walk will end in Nadi with a food festival, family fun day with entertainment, and amusement rides

The Program will be held from May  13-18.
