The Women Entrepreneur Business Council (WEBC), a council under the Fiji Commerce & Employers Federation (FCEF) will host Fiji’s first Entrepreneurs Trade Show and Convention this weekend.
This initiative is part of WEBC’s strategy
for establishing a sustainable event which its members can look forward to
The Entrepreneurs Convention that is scheduled for Sunday at the Raintree Lodge is for the entrepreneurs by the entrepreneurs.
WEBC Chair, Mrs Eseta Nadakuitavuki said “this Convention is the first for its members and its objective is to encourage peer to peer learning.
We designed a registration questionnaire which asked members what they wanted to know more of and if they were interested in also speaking on topics of interest.
It is through their feedback that we have designed the day’s program.”
The Trade Show will take place on Saturday at Terry Walk in downtown Suva as a lead up to the Convention on Sunday.
This Trade Show will have members of WEBC and the Young Entrepreneurs Council (YEC) showcasing their products and services.
Eseta mentioned “again, it is a first for our members and we are hopeful this will be a looked out for annual event by members. Members of the public are invited to take a stroll through Terry Walk on Saturday and to get to know more about WEBC and YEC, as our Coordinators will be available to take queries and register new members.”
The two events are supported by the Fiji Women Fund and the
US Embassy in Suva.
