War veterans with their families and members of the disciplined forces gathered in hundreds at the National War Memorial during the Remembrance Day service held at Battery Road in Veiuto, Nasese in #Suva yesterday.

At the 11th hour, a minute of silence was observed to remember those #Fijian men and women in the disciplined forces that served in various missions like World War I, War World War II, Malaya, UNIFIL Lebanon, British Army and other peacekeeping missions.

This was followed by a wreath-laying ceremony led by His Excellency, the President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote, Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama, members for the diplomatic corps, members of the disciplined forces and President of the Returned Soldiers and Ex-Servicemen Association.

It was an emotional occasion for many as they honoured and remembered their loved ones who lost their lives in the line of duty. #FijianGovernment#Fiji#TeamFiji
