Installation works at the Nagado Water Treatment Plant is underway and on schedule.

Water Authority of Fiji and its contractors work around the clock to restore water supply to its customers in Nadi and parts of Lautoka in the Western Division.

WAF Board Director, Kamal Gounder said that WAF teams worked around the clock to successfully complete this operation and they are expecting that water supply to low-lying areas be normalized by last night and then the high elevated areas by Tuesday evening.

He adds that the good news is that most of their customers living in Nadi Town, Denarau, and customers that are fed from the Black Rock Reservoir as they are getting water because WAF was able to commission the old main line that they used to operate before, is providing level of water that they are able to supply to Denarau and some of the major customers in Nadi including the Airports Fiji Limited.

Gounder adds that WAF is only carting water for the other affected areas in Nadi as well as areas outside Lautoka City, and those not supplied through the Saru and Buabua Water Treatment Plants.
