The Minister for Health and Medical Services, Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete has reminded health volunteers of the need for experience and proper training in their line of work, that is “saving lives’.
Waqainabete, who officiated as chief guest at the St. John Ambulance Awards Night at Studio 6 in Suva this evening, said that competencies such as “teamwork, commitment, good communication, decision-making, trustworthiness and the passion” were also key ingredients.
“I believe that all the volunteers and members of the St John Brigade that are here tonight have these relevant experiences and most importantly the passion and drive that makes you the best Volunteer and Brigade Member,” he said.
