Wang Qi Yong, the Asian man accused of murdering a woman at her flat in Namadi Heights in Suva will challenge his admission during his caution interview.
His Legal Aid lawyers told the court that Yong claims to have acted on self-defense.
The Legal Aid Commission is in the process of arranging a Mandarin translator who can assist the defense counsels in obtaining proper instructions from Yong.
As per the caution interview, Yong had admitted to staying with the deceased Asian woman and killing her.
He appeared in court this morning with a poster saying that the confession is not real and he demanded to be interviewed again with a proper translator.
The matter has been adjourned to the 13th of December to determine the trial for the Chinese fisherman.
It is alleged that Yong had caused the death of a 33 year old Asian woman, who was found dead by her flatmate at their home in Salato Road, Namadi Heights.
He is remanded in custody.
