“The Fiji Elections Office Voter Awareness Teams are about to complete Distribution in Pre-Poll Areas”
This was confirmed by Acting Director for Strategic Development and Communications- Edwin Nand this afternoon.
Voter Instruction booklet distribution has been underway since the 24th of this month.
112 Voter Awareness Assistants have been engaging with voters with emphasis on the distribution of the 2018 General Election Voter Instruction Booklets.
In the Eastern division – the [FEO] dispatched 6,600 Voter Instruction Booklets to the Lau Group which has 6,515 registered voters.
To date, 4, 925 VIBs have been distributed with 17 venues left to be covered in the Lau group.
Nand said the Lau Voter Awareness Teams are currently in Vanuabalavu.
we have distributed 1,245 VIBs in
Rotuma, 5,084 in Lomaiviti and 5,982 in Kadavu.
For the Western division, the Booklets have been distributed in 8 areas –
Yasawa/Vatulele, Lautoka, Nadi, Ba, Tavua, Sigatoka, Keiyasi and Rakiraki.
A total of 4773 VIBs were distributed to 202 venues in these locations.
The number of Voter Instruction booklet distributed in the Northern Division stands at 18, 600
In the Northern division, the number of VIBs distributed as of today stands at
18, 600. Areas covered include Taveuni, Nabouwalu, Savusavu, Labasa and
Ladies and gentlemen, in the Central division, the VIBs 32, 532 Booklets have
been distributed in Korovou, Tailevu, Beqa, Vunidawa and the Suva area.
The Fiji Elections Office has delivered about 75, 373 “Voter Instruction Booklets” in Pre-Poll Areas.
Election Day Distribution will begin tomorrow.
