Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama left this morning for Vatulele for the second phase of the distribution of Tropical Cyclone Harold relief efforts.
Prime Minister Bainimarama is accompanied by the Minister for Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu, Minister for Infrastructure Jone Usamate, Minister for Health Ifereimi Waqainabete, and Assistant Minister for Rural and Maritime Development Jale Sigarara.
The Fiji Red Cross had identified Vatulele in its initial damage assessment report as one of the most devasted islands by Tropical Cyclone Harold.
Bainimarama will hand over food rations and relief supplies to families impacted by the cyclone.
Minister for Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu earlier revealed the total cost of damage caused by TC Harold stands at around 100 million dollars.
