Valentine Holmes’ pursuit of an NFL career is on track with the former NRL speedster named one of seven elite athletes from around the world selected to compete for a spot in the NFL’s 2019 International Player Pathway Program.
The program provides elite international athletes the opportunity to compete at the NFL level, improve their skills and ultimately earn a spot on an NFL roster.
Former South Sydney Rabbitohs junior Jordan Mailata entered the programme a year ago and was drafted by the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Holmes quit the Cronulla Sharks and a potential $NZ5.25 million contract to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL.
