The University of the South Pacific Vice-Chancellor Professor Pal Ahluwalia has been suspended from duties on pay and without withdrawal of privileges.

The Executive Committee of Council, met yesterday to decide important issues which included the alleged material misconduct and breaches of USP policies by Professor Ahluwalia.

The Executive Committee resolved that an independent investigation into the allegations be conducted;

Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research Professor Derrick Armstrong is now the University of the South Pacific’s acting Vice-Chancellor.
