The University of the South Pacific council is meeting virtually on Wednesday this week to discuss the recent power struggle and matters concerning the university.

Incoming Chancellor and President of Nauru Lionel Aingimea in the letter stated, that the special meeting will not be moved to a later date.

The letter was directed to the Pro-Chancellor Winston Thompson.

The zoom meeting will be hosted by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The meeting was called after 10 members of the council raised their concerns about the suspension of Vice-Chancellor Professor Pal Ahluwalia by the USP Executive Committee.
