The Water Authority of Fiji is advising its customers living along elevated areas from Tamavua to Colo-i-Suva, Tacirua, Dokanaisuva and Tovata that they will experience low water pressure to intermittent water supply until 7pm tonight.

WAF says the interruption in supply is due to an electrical fault at the Waila Treatment Plant which has affected the water pumps at the Treatment Plant. This has resulted in low volumes of water being pumped to the Tovata, Nagatugatu, Tacirua, Dokanaisuva and Colo-i-Suva
Reservoirs.

Water supply is expected to be normalised by 7pm tonight.

The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.

WAF has confirmed that water carting trucks are on standby to service the areas as and when the need arises.

For any urgent water carting requests, members of the public are to contact the Authority’s National Call Centre toll-free line on 1507.
