The purpose of the visit is to discuss RFMF and UK Defense Engagement and also to strengthen Military ties between the RFMF and the UK Armed Forces. Brig Gen Timothy was later hosted with a morning tea.
Later that afternoon, Wing Commander Bryant visited the Hydrographic office in Walu and to the Acting Commander Navy, Commander (Navy) Marika Vosayaco at the Fiji Naval Ship (FNS)Stanley Brown with the same purpose of the visit.
The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) continue to receive high dignitary’s visitors in the past and in future as part of the International Defence Cooperation with other nations.
United Kingdom (UK) Regional Defences Advisor Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Marcus Simson paid a courtesy call to the Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (CRFMF) Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto at the Strategic Headquarters (SHQ) in Berkeley Crescent
Brig Gen Timothy was accompanied by the British High Commissioner Ms Melanie Hopkins and the Defence Attache, Wing Commander Bryant to a Quarter guard from the members of the Third Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment (3FIR).
