The Republic of Fiji Military Forces received a timely donation from the US Embassy.

The US Ambassador to Fiji Joseph Cella handed over equipment and supplies worth $157,000 to the RFMF Commander Rear-Admiral Viliame Naupoto at the Strategic Headquarters in Suva.

The donated items will be distributed to assist RFMF personnel deployed in various parts of the country; assisting government agencies in the response to COVID-19 and the devastation of TC Harold.

Speaking at the donation presentation, US Ambassador to Fiji Joseph Cella stated through the donated items he hopes to continue the strong partnership in the future.

Commander Naupoto mentioned that the the donated items would allow the RFMF to execute its operations and at the same time ensure the safety of all personnel while on deployment around the country.

Naupoto says the global pandemic cannot be fought alone and needs global attention.

The donated items include generators, folding table/ chairs, Tent/Marquee, PPE, Disposable Hazmat, Gloves, Wipes, Disinfection, Masks, and Hand Sanitizers worth $157,000.
