Two men have been sentenced to less than a year of imprisonment by the Suva High Court Judge Justice Vincent Parera for stealing from the Fiji Rugby Union.

Ritesh Mani and Dhani Ram both pleaded guilty after they were charged with 1 count of Aggravated Burglary and 1 count of Theft.

The court heard that on the 4th of June 2018 Mani and Ram stole a number of branded tee-shirts, jackets, a sweater, pants and a bag all to the total value of 818 dollars and 35 cents from the Fiji Rugby Union Office in Suva while conducting maintenance work on the premises.

While reading out the sentences Justice Parera said he took into consideration that both the accused were first offenders.

Ritesh Mani is sentenced to 4 months and one week imprisonment while Dhani Ram will have to serve 8 months and one week imprisonment.
