The Tuva Youth Rugby team will be gunning for their fifth title of the MacDonald Fiji Coral Coast 7s Tournament’s Youth Division.

Tuva Youth Rugby Team coach, Laisenia Waqatabu said his team had been preparing well for this year’s tournament, with great hope of winning it.

“The boys have been giving their best this past few weeks, more dedicated than ever before,” Mr Waqatabu said.

“A lot of them (boys) are new, with only two players who played last year, playing again this year.

“We are looking forward to next week’s games and of course- we are looking to secure our fifth title.”

2020 MacDonald Fiji Coral Coast 7s tournament director, Jay Whyte said this year’s category will be different from its previous years as they had noted great interests from great teams for this year’s tournament.

“Yeah, well few of the teams have won their way through, by qualifying from other local rugby tournaments around Fiji,” Whyte said.

“This year’s Youth category will be different, and we are forecasting some great rugby actions at the tournament.

“Will the Tuva Youth Club be able to defend their title again this year, or will it be snatched away from them, i am inviting members of the public to come on down to Lawaqa Park next week, to witness the actions for themselves.”

A total of 16 youth teams will be participating at next week’s tournament.
