A sea-plane beaver aircraft owned and operated by Turtle Airways suffered an engine malfunction this morning at approximately 10:30am.

The pilot conducted a successful forced landing in a cane field to the rear of the university of Fiji campus in Saweni outside Lautoka.
The four passengers and the pilot were uninjured, the passengers were airlifted by a helicopter to Nadi.
According to turtle airways the aircraft appears to be undamaged from the forced landing.
The cause of the incident is yet to be determined and Turtle Airways ltd is co-operating with the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji in their investigation.
