EIGHTEEN year-old Caner Toptas of Turkey have set a new world record after snatching 125kg in the “snatch” category and 148kg in the “Clean & Jerk” category with a total weight of 273kg in the Mens 61kg Group A youth category, at the IWF World Junior Championships event in Suva, Fiji Islands today.
In second place is Bae Monsu of Korea, lifting 115kg in the “snatch” category, and 155kg in the “clean & jerk” category. His total weight lifted in this event is 270kg.
Dogan Donen of Turkey, came in third place, lifting 121kg in the “snatch”category, 148 in the “clean & jerk”category and 269kg is his total weight lifted in this event.
