A traditional welcoming ceremony was accorded to the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and his delegation by the staff of Fiji’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York today.
The Prime Minister thanked the staff and other Fijians living in New York for their support in hosting the delegation to the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Bainimarama was briefed on the week’s engagements in the margins of the United Nations General Assembly.
He also reminded the delegation of the need to remain focused on the week ahead.
Also present to welcome the delegation was Fiji’s Ambassador to the United States Solo Mara and Fiji’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium Deo Saran.
