A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers lie slow moving over the southern and eastern parts of Fiji.
According to the Fiji Metrological Services, a high pressure system to the far southwest of Fiji – directs fresh to strong southeast winds over the southern parts of the country.
Occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms with heavy falls is forecast over the interior and eastern parts of the larger islands.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
Members of the public are advised to take extra precautions – during this long weekend.
